Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what you can and cannot do when using The Unspoken. It applies to facilitators, respondents, and anyone else who accesses the platform at theunspoken.io. By using The Unspoken you agree to follow this AUP alongside our Terms & Conditions.

Facilitator access to participant data

• Facilitators receive group-level aggregate analysis only. Individual named responses are never accessible to facilitators.
• Facilitators are prohibited from attempting to identify individual survey respondents by any means, including cross-referencing timings, free-text detail, group knowledge, or any external record. Accepting this policy at account creation means accepting this prohibition.

You may

• Use The Unspoken for legitimate counselling, training, and research work.
• Invite participants who have consented to take part in an anonymous survey.
• Share reports internally with your team or supervisor for training purposes.

You must not

• Break the law, or use The Unspoken to help anyone else break the law.
• Attempt to identify, re-identify, or track individual respondents. Anonymity is central to how The Unspoken works.
• Coerce, deceive, or pressure anyone into completing a survey, or use the platform to harass, bully, or discriminate.
• Upload malware, attempt to probe, scan, or breach security, or interfere with other users' access.
• Scrape, copy, or resell the platform, its content, its AI outputs, or its underlying data.
• Impersonate another person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Use The Unspoken to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.
• Rely on AI-generated reports as professional medical, legal, financial, or clinical advice.
• Use the platform in high-risk settings (for example, active abuse or crisis situations) where a qualified human professional should be involved directly.

Reporting misuse

If you believe someone is misusing The Unspoken, email support@theunspoken.io with as much detail as you can share. The Unspoken is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller under registration number ZC188145.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected breaches and, where necessary, suspend or terminate accounts, remove content, or cooperate with law enforcement. Serious or repeated breaches may result in permanent removal from the platform without refund.

Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of The Unspoken after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
